Albion, Mich -- Cameron Braun, a senior attacker from Bowmanville, Ontario, was placed on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's list of honorable mention All-Americans after scoring a single-season school record 59 goals for Albion during the 2016 season. He is 11th among Division III players averaging nearly 3 ¼ goals per game and 60th at five points per game.

Braun scored a goal in all 18 games and he scored at least twice in 15 games. He produced seven goals in victories over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals Adrian College and Hope College. His 32 goals against league rivals was a MIAA single-season record.

"It's great to have Cameron recognized among the top players in the country," Albion Head Coach Jake DeCola said. "Stopping Cameron was a part of the opponents defensive game plan. When teams go out of their way to prepare for a single player, that's what makes them stand out among the best players in the country. That's what all these guys on the All-America list have in common. They have an incredible impact on the game."

Braun joins former Albion midfielder Alexander Dziewit, '15, as the only players from the MIAA to achieve Division III All-America distinction from the USILA.

In its seventh year at the varsity level, Albion achieved back-to-back MIAA championships and NCAA Division III Championship appearances in 2016. The Britons finished the season 13-5 overall and 7-0 against MIAA rivals.
