The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Hope attacker Gunnar Elder its Offensive Player of the Week in men's lacrosse for games played through April 26.
Elder, a sophomore from East Grand Rapids (East Grand Rapids HS), scored eight goals and assisted on four others in leading the Flying Dutchmen to a split of two MIAA contests for the week. He had five goals and four assists in an 18-10 victory over Calvin, and added three goals in a 19-8 loss to Albion. Elder is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
