With a 52-stroke advantage over the field over six rounds of competition, the Hope College men's golf team captured their fifth MIAA Championship in six seasons after winning all six MIAA fall rounds for the 2018 season.

Hope posted a team average of 286.3 strokes; that team effort sets a new MIAA standard for the six-round season. Four of the five lowest season averages were posted by Flying Dutchmen in 2018.

Hope's Josh Gibson became just the second MIAA men's golfer to be a three-time Most Valuable Golfer, and the first to do consecutively. Gibson's six-round average of 69.0 set a new MIAA record by more than two strokes.

Hope will serve as the host of the final two rounds of the 2019 MIAA NCAA Spring Qualifier, while second-place Calvin will host the first round of the three-round, four-team event. Trine and Kalamazoo, who were separated by just one stroke in the fall, will round out the four-team tournament.
