Hope Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at NCAA Championships

The Hope men's golf team ended the 2018 season on a high note, combining for a one-under 287 on the final day of the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship May 15-18 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. to finish sixth overall.

The Flying Dutchmen advanced to the final day of competition after ranking 12th through three rounds before Hope turned in the lone under-par round of the final day to vault six positions. Leading the effort was Kade Hoeksema, who carded a three-under 69 thanks to four birdies on the day; also going below par was Daniel Settecerri, who shot a one-under 71.

For the tournament, Josh Gibson tied for 10th overall with a two-over 290, which included an impressive five-under 67 during the second round. Settecerri finished tied for 29th (295), while Andrew Goble was tied for 34th (296).

Calvin's Ben VanScoyk tied for 24th overall, finishing with a six-over 294 that included a two-under 70 for the third round.
