• Adrian improved to 5-2 overall with a critical 2-0 week against non-conference foes. The Bulldogs started with an upset win over #3 UW-Whitewater Dec. 8, 66-53. Justin Webster (Sr., F, Adrian, Mich.) scored a career-high 29 points to go with a game-best 12 rebounds in the win, Adrian's first non-conference victory against a top-3 ranked program in school history. The Bulldogs then added an 86-73 win over Wisconsin Lutheran Dec. 9, with Webster notching 28 points in the win.
• Kalamazoo tallied two home victories last week, including an exciting 66-64 victory over Case Western Reserve Dec. 9. Four Hornets were in double figures, led by a 15-point outing from Ben Reiter (So., G/F, Rochester, Mich.); Reiter also scored a critical free throw late to help seal the win.
• Trine picked up a pair of wins in three contests last week, flexing their muscle in a 103-67 win over Great Lakes Christian Dec. 4 before an 89-52 victory against Wisconsin Lutheran Dec. 8. Myles Copeland (Jr., F, Perrysburg, Ohio) poured in 26 points in the win over Great Lakes Christian.
