The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association continued its streak as one of the top conferences in NCAA Division III men's basketball attendance, as the eight-member men's conference ranked first nationally for the 25th time in 27 years. The MIAA averaged 669 fans per home game to lead the country.

Hope men continued their streak as national leader at NCAA Division III for attendance, averaging 2,434 for home games. Hope was joined by Calvin (10th) and Olivet (29th) in the top teams for attendance.

The top two games featuring two NCAA Division III men's basketball teams were both of Hope and Calvin's contests as part of #TheRivalry: at Calvin Feb. 3 (4,089) and at Hope Jan. 10 (3,400).

On the women's side, Hope (1st) and Trine (23rd) were among the top programs nationally. Of note, four of the top five games between two NCAA Division III teams attendance-wise featured at least one MIAA program; the top game for 2017-18 was Hope vs. Calvin on Jan. 13, with 2,912 in attendance.
