The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Monday (March 12) the 2018 NABC Coaches' Division III All-District teams, recognizing the best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, selected by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III.
Earning honors from the NABC were Olivet's Jalen Adams and Hope's Jason Beckman, as the duo was listed as two of the top 11 players in the Great Lakes Region. Adams named a First-Team All-Great Lakes District honoree, while Beckman gathered second-team accolades.
Adams, the 2018 MIAA Most Valuable Player, averaged 26.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game for the Comets, leading Olivet to a share of the MIAA Championship. On the year, Adams registered 16 double-doubles.
Beckman averaged 22.2 points per game in aiding Hope to a share of the MIAA Championship, the MIAA Tournament title, and a berth to the NCAA Championship Second Round.
