The Flying Dutchmen edged Alma Feb. 4, 76-71, as Harrison Blackledge (Sr., F, Canton, Ohio) turned in a double-double with game-highs of 24 points and 11 rebounds. In Hope's 93-88 victory at Olivet Feb. 1, Chad Carlson (Sr., G, Rockford, Mich.) posted a career-high 30 points - all on three-pointers to set a Hope College record - while adding a team-high five assists.
• Trine moved into a tie for third by posting two MIAA wins. In a 65-42 win over Adrian Feb. 4, Trine's defense held the Hornets without a three-point field goal while forcing 16 turnovers; Kyle Dodson (So., G, Centerville, Ohio) led the Thunder with 19 points. Midweek, Trine gave up just two three-point field goals in their 54-50 victory over Kalamazoo Feb. 1. Will Dixon (Sr., G, Indianapolis, Ind.) notched 17 points while Dodson added 15 points to go with nine rebounds.
• Albion picked up two key MIAA victories to keep the Brits' postseason chances alive. The Brits defeated Calvin at home Feb. 1, 69-62, bolstered by a 25-point performance from Corey Wheeler (Jr., G, Detroit, Mich.); Albion hushed a near triple-double by Calvin's Cam Denney (Sr., F, Bluffton, Ind.), who registered 19 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. The Brits then fended off Kalamazoo Feb. 4 in a 69-65 home win, as Jaylin Fordham (So., G, Flint, Mich.) stepped up with a game-best 20 points.
