Adrian's McGaw, Albion's Blanzy Earn D3football.com National Team of the Week Honors

Two Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association football players were honored nationally Monday for efforts on the field last weekend, as Adrian's Jerron McGaw and Albion's Brian Blanzy were named to the D3football.com's National Team of the Week. It marked the second consecutive week an Albion player garnered national honors from the online publication.

McGaw, who was also named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, tied a school record with five TD receptions (15, 4, 39, 65, 6) while establishing career bests of 13 catches and 256 yards in Adrian's 56-27 win over Buffalo State Sept. 8. His 256 receiving yards are nine shy of the Adrian single-game mark.

Blanzy caught seven passes for a career-high 119 receiving yards, scoring two touchdowns in a 56-35 Albion win vs. Franklin Sept. 8. Albion is currently receiving votes in the latest D3football.com Top 25 poll thanks to a 2-0 start to the season.
