• Alma scored two key touchdowns in the fourth quarter to defeat Aurora (Ill.), 27-18, Oct. 14 in non-conference play. Dylan Zaborowski (Sr., QB, Jackson, Mich.) not only rushed for 126 yards and both of the fourth-quarter touchdowns but added 223 yards passing in the win.

• Hope held Adrian scoreless until the game's final play in a 22-3 victory over the Bulldogs Oct. 14. Mason Opple (So., QB, Hudsonville, Mich.) led Hope with 136 yards passing and 74 yards rushing, scoring on rushes of 36, two, and two yards.

• Olivet totalled 539 yards of total offense and committed no turnovers in a game inundated with rain as the Comets defeated Albion 47-26 at home Oct. 14. Jerome Washington (Sr., RB, Albion, Mich.) rushed for 265 yards, the third-best total in Olivet history, while quarterback Lane Porter (Jr., QB, Lansing, Mich.) threw for 232 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for two of his own.

• Trine scored 35 first-half points and finished with 371 of their 443 yards on the ground in their 42-7 victory at home over Kalamazoo Oct. 14 to remain unbeaten on the year. The Thunder defense added four turnovers, including a 62-yard interception returned for a touchdown by Kyle Wiswell (Sr., S, Three Rivers, Mich.).
