• Hope posted a 38-0 shutout win at home against Defiance Sept. 9, holding their foes to just 127 yards of total offense. Darren Ford (Sr., K, Howell, Mich.) had eight points with a perfect 5-of-5 effort in PATs while adding a field goal in the win; teammate Griffin Weigl (Sr., LB, Saginaw, Mich.) had eight tackles in the shutout, including a sack, while also grabbing an interception.

• Olivet earned their first win of the season, a 26-20 victory over Elmhurst Sept. 9. The Comets jumped out to a 19-0 first-half lead and secured the win with a 19-yard touchdown run by Jerome Washington (Sr., RB, Albion, Mich.). Washington finished with 119 yards on the ground. 

• Trine improved to 2-0 on the year with a 55-14 road win at Bluffton Sept. 9. Fueled by 505 yards of total offense, including 359 yards of rushing, the Thunder benefitted from Evan Wyse (Sr., QB, Archbold, Ohio) and his four touchdown passes. Jeffery Barnett (WR, Jr., Freemont, Ohio) hauled in two of those touchdowns.
