Trine NCAA Championship berth announcement
• Adrian jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back as the Bulldogs defeated Alma 56-21 in the season finale for both teams Nov. 11. Clayton Uecker (Sr., QB, Akron, Ohio) threw for 361 yards and four touchdowns, while Emmanuel Stewart (Jr., RB, St. Petersburg, Fla.) rushed for three touchdowns while adding a TD reception for the Bulldogs.
• Albion closed out the season with a 24-3 victory at home against Kalamazoo Nov. 11. Tyler Sykes (Sr., WR, Sterling Heights, Mich.) grabbed a pair of touchdown passes for the Britons.
• Hope erupted for 752 yards of offense, including a team-record 564 yards on the ground, in a 70-6 non-conference victory over Concordia (Wis.) Nov. 11. Hope's 70-point performance was a modern-day record and trailed only a 71-point game back in 1919. Brandan Campbell (Sr., RB, Otsego, Mich.) rushed for 210 yards with four touchdowns.
• #23 Trine concluded a perfect 10-0 regular season with their 28-6 victory over Olivet Nov. 11. The Thunder raised the MIAA Championship trophy for the fourth time since 2008 and their first since the 2010 campaign, which was also a perfect 10-0 regular season. Against the Comets, Trine rushed for 329 yards while holding the defending MIAA champs to 62 yards rushing.
