Hope's Fairfield, Adrian's Cook Receive All-America honors from D3football.com

Two Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association football players represented the conference on the D3football.com All-America teams, the online publication announced last week. Garnering honors for the second consecutive year was Hope's Justin Fairfield, who moved up from an honorable mention honoree in 2016 to a Second Team All-American this fall. Joining Fairfield on the Second Team was Adrian's Cameron Cook.

Fairfield played an integral part of Hope's offense that placed second in the MIAA with 1,510 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns in league games. He spearheaded an offense that set school records this season with 377 points and 2,810 yards rushing.

Cook rewrote the Adrian record book this season, setting benchmarks for single-game (16 vs Lakeland, Oct. 7) and career points by a kicker (220), single-season and career extra-points made (41, 121) and attempted (44, 140) and single-game (4 vs Lakeland, Oct. 7) and career field goals made (33-tied).
