MINNEAPOLIS – Six Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association football programs had at least one representative on D3football.com's All-North Region teams, the online publication announced this week. In all, 12 MIAA football players garnered All-Region accolades.
Three individuals represented the MIAA on the First Team: Adrian's Cameron Cook (Sr., K, Linden, Mich.), Hope's Justin Fairfield (Sr., OL, North Muskegon, Mich.), and Trine's Mitchell Watts (Sr., OL, Goshen, Ind.).
Trine's Lamar Carswell (Jr., RB, Toledo, Ohio) and Jeffery Barnett (Jr., KR, Fremont, Ohio) were Second Team All-North Region selections for offense, while teammate Marcus Winters (Jr., CB, Toledo, Ohio) was a second-team honoree on defense.
Third team selections were Adrian's Jerron McGaw (Jr., WR, Indianapolis, Ind.) and Eric McDonel (Sr., OL, Titusville, Fla.) along with Trine's Andrew Hagar (Sr., OL, Mllersburg, Ind.) on offense; defensively, Alma's Dustin Tripp (Sr., DL, Byron Center, Mich.), Albion's Sam Blanzy (Jr., P, Grosse Points Park, Mich.) and Olivet's John Adams III (Fr., CB, Redford, Mich.) represented the MIAA.
