Aaron O'Meara, a senior linebacker for the Hope College football team, has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
A leader on the field and in the classroom for Hope, O'Meara will graduate this spring with a degree in biology; the native of Wyandotte, Mich. will use the one-time, non-renewable scholarship of $7,500 to assist with paying tuition at Central Michigan University's Physician Assistant School.
O'Meara is the first NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship honoree from the MIAA for the 2016-17 academic year. He is the third Hope honoree in two years and sixth since 2014.
