FREELAND, Mich. – Javon Walker, a junior safety on the Olivet football team, was named one of the nation's top performers Tuesday by D3football.com, as the publication named Walker to their National Team of the Week.

Walker was among Olivet's defensive leaders Oct. 15 as the Comets posted a 31-14 win at Albion to end a losing streak to the Brits that dated back to 2007. Walker had 10 tackles in the win, including six solo efforts, while adding a first-quarter interception. 

As a team, Olivet improved to 3-0 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play by holding Albion scoreless in the second half and allowing just eight yards rushing.
