Week #5 Wrap for week of March 19-25
• Adrian started MIAA play with a 3-1 series win over Alma March 23 and March 25. In their home doubleheader with the Scots March 23, the Bulldogs benefitted from a bases-loaded RBI single by Hunter Hayes (Sr., Adrian, Mich.) in the ninth inning. Tommy Parsons (Sr., New Albany, Ohio) earned the win, striking out 12 in his complete-game effort.
• Albion tallied four victories last week, including three against MIAA foe Olivet. Albion started the four-game set with Olivet with two home wins March 24, including a come-from-behind game one win in seven innings, 7-6. Kellan Huang (Fr., Canton, Mich.) had a walk-off single as part of a two-run seventh to bolster the Britons. In the nightcap, Huang picked up the save in Albion's 13-10 win.
• Kalamazoo was a three-time winner in their MIAA-opening series with Trine March 22 and 23. After splitting on the road March 22, the Hornets came home for a doubleheader sweep March 23, including an 11-1 game-one victory. Alex Fultz (Jr., Warren, Mich.) had a pair of doubles in that game to finish 3-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
