The Adrian baseball team (33-10), already announced as a Regional host for the 2018 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship, will face Otterbein Thursday, May 17 in the first round of the double-elimination regional at Nicolay Field.
Otterbein (30-14), an at-large bid recipient, is the No. 2 seed in the eight-team field. Wooster is the top seed at the Adrian Regional, with La Roche, Marietta, Shenandoah, Ithaca, and Wabash rounding out the teams competiting at Adrian. On the year, Adrian amassed a record of 0-2 against the teams in the regional, with losses coming to La Roche April 30 and Marietta March 4.
Winners of the eight regional tournaments will qualify for the pool play double-elimination championship at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin, Friday- Tuesday/Wednesday, May 25- 29/30, 2018.
