Adrian pitcher Tommy Parsons and Hope first baseman Landon Brower were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) NCAA Division III Academic All-District 5 team, the national organization announced May 10. Both Parsons and Brower are now eligible for Academic All-America consideration.

Parsons' statistical achievements on the mound this year including a 10-0 record with one save in 12 appearances, including nine complete games. Parsons enters the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship with a 1.48 ERA and 103 strikeouts in 85.0 innings pitched, giving up just five walks. Academically, Parsons owns a 3.38 GPA towards a degree in Business Management.

Brower saw action in 42 games for Hope, posting a .315 batting average and a .405 OBP. Brower tied for fifth on the team in RBI (19) and tallied five doubles. In the classroom, Brower boasts a 3.96 GPA as a Biochemistry & Molecular Biology major.

The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in June.

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools and other affiliations.

The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams.
