• Adrian tallied two wins last week on the road, defeating Birmingham Southern March 2, 3-2, and beating Transylvania March 4, 3-0. In their come-from-behind win over nationally-ranked Birmingham Southern, Brian Killinger (Sr., IF, Grand Rapids, Mich.) had a home run in the eighth inning which proved to be the go-ahead run. Against Transylvania, Adrian's Tommy Parsons (Jr., P, New Albany, Ohio) fired a two-hit shutout.
• Kalamazoo went 3-0 in three contests in Kentucky last week, culminating with a 15-6 win at Spalding March 5. In that win, the Hornets were led by a 2-for-5 effort at the plate from Mitch VanKoevering (Sr., SS, La Grange, Ill.), including a three-run homer, with five RBI. The Hornets added a 5-3 win over Central (Iowa) earlier in the day, and a 5-2 victory against Anderson (Ind.) in their season opener.
