This October and November, members of Calvin's SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) are hosting a Christmas Toy Drive at Calvin home athletic events. SAAC members will collect new toys and donations with the goal of brightening the holiday season for underprivileged children in the Grand Rapids area.
Donated toys should be new, and geared toward children and young adults ages 8-18. Sample donation ideas include sporting equipment, board games, card games, books, science kits, art kits, and gift cards.
At the conclusion of the toy drive, Calvin SAAC members will donate all toys and money collected to various church organizations helping to brighten the holidays for children and families in need.
Fans who wish to donate toys or funds to the Calvin SAAC Christmas Toy Drive can bring their donations to SAAC members at the following Calvin home events:

Saturday, Oct. 14, 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Women's Volleyball Midwest Invitational
Wednesday, Oct. 18, 7:00 p.m. – Women's Soccer vs. Hope
Tuesday, Oct. 24, 6:30 p.m. – Women's Volleyball vs. Hope
Friday, Nov. 3, 6:00 p.m. – Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving – Calvin Quad
Friday, Nov. 17, 8:00 p.m. – Men's Ice Hockey vs. Rochester
Friday, Dec. 1, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Women's Basketball & Men's Basketball vs. Martin Luther
Calvin's SAAC is comprised of at least two representatives from each of our 21 intercollegiate teams and ACHA Ice Hockey team. SAAC acts to promote community amongst our athletic teams, Calvin College and the West Michigan area.
