On Monday, the MIAA awarded 14 weekly honors for standout performances in men's and women's lacrosse, baseball, softball, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's outdoor track and field.
Earning MIAA Player of the Week honors for April 17 are:

• Sydney Jones, Hope (Softball Pitcher)

• In a 3-0 week for Calvin against MIAA challengers, scored nine goals to go with seven assists • In 11-9 road win at Saint Mary's April 11, posted four goals and three assists to factor into 63 percent of Calvin's offense • Had an 85.7 shots on goal percentage for the week; also added six ground balls and three draw controls |

• Named Most Valuable Field Athlete at the Indiana Division III Championships meet April 15 • Won the hammer throw with a career-best effort of 52.31 meters, which ranks first in the MIAA and 34th nationally • Posted a seventh-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 13.44 meters |
