Player of the Week

Dustin Tripp, Alma

• Had six tackles in Alma's 31-20 win over Manchester Sept. 10

• All six of his tackles were solo efforts

• Added a quarterback sack for a loss of eight yards

Player of the Week

Dylan Zaborowski, Alma

Junior, QB
Jackson, Mich.

• Passed for 172 yards while rushing for 103 more yards in Alma's 31-20 victory against Manchester Sept. 10

• Rushed for three touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards per carry

• Added a 35-yard receiving touchdown to score 24 of Alma's 31 points

• Went 11-for-31 passing with a long of 54 yards

• Went 4-for-4 in extra point attempts in Alma's 31-20 victory over Manchester Sept. 10

• Added a field goal from 19 yards for seven points in the win

• Led Calvin to a trio of three-set wins against MIAA foes

• Posted a .593 attack percentage in nine sets, with just one error in 59 total attack attempts

• Had 10 kills to go with five service aces in win at Trine Sept. 9

• Posted 12 kills without an error in 19 attack attempts to go with two service aces against Albion Sept. 7

• Finished the week with 14 kills and five blocks in three-set win against Saint Mary's Sept. 10

Specialist of the Week

Dakota Pelach, Alma

• Turned in two triple-doubles for the week, both coming in five-set wins over MIAA opponents

• In win over Albion Sept. 10, had 22 assists and 19 digs to go with 11 kills in Alma's five-set victory

• Against Olivet Sept. 9, handed out 22 assists while logging 12 digs and 16 kills in a five-set win

• Added four service aces

• Made eight saves in Hope's 2-1 overtime victory against Benedictine (Ill.) Sept. 10

• Played all 90 minutes in Hope's 3-1 win over Grace Bible (Mich.) Sept. 7

• Lowered season goals-against average to 1.24 in rookie season

• Assisted on four goals for Calvin to aid the Knights in winning Cal Bergsma Memorial TournamentSept. 9-10

• Had three assists in 5-1 victory against Aurora Sept. 10, also assisting on what proved to be game-winning goal

• Started the week with an assist on game-winning goal in 1-0 victory over Benedictine (Ill.) Sept. 9

• Added two shots on goal in his two starts

Elizabeth Perkins, Hope

• Scored in both of Hope's MIAA contests on the week

• Set the tempo with her goal in the seventh minute in road draw against Kalamazoo Sept. 6

• In 3-1 win over Adrian Sept. 10, made key plays to help in Hope's first two goals and then scored her second of the week in the 31st minute

• Leads Hope in scoring with 11 points this season

Men's Cross Country

• Finished sixth overall at the Indiana Wesleyan Twilight Invitational Sept. 9

• Posted a time of 26:37 on the 8K course

• Was the first NCAA Division III runner to cross the line in the 11-team race

• Helped Trine place fourth overall

• Won the Ferris Ray Helsing Bulldog Invitational Sept. 10, leading Hope to a team victory against NCAA Division II competition

• Finished the 5K course with a time of 18.25.8 to win by 16 seconds

• Earned medalist honors with his two-under 69 at the first MIAA Jamboree

• Won the individual title to edge three players who were one shot back with 70s

Women's Golf

Golfer of the Week

Lauren Read, Saint Mary's

Bremen, Ind.

• Earned medalist honors at Hanover College Invitational Sept. 10-11, leading Saint Mary's to team title

• Led the field with a 77 on Sunday, good for a collegiate best score for the freshman

• Shot a one-over 37 through nine holes in weather-shortened first round of the event
