Matt Lowes of Albion claimed Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week honors on Monday for games through May 1.

Lowes, a sophomore from Scotts, collected defensive honors after limiting two of the league’s top scorers last weekend. He blanketed the top scoring threats from both Hope and Olivet on defense in a pair of league wins last week to help the Britons secure the MIAA regular season title. Along the way, Lowes scooped up five ground balls and caused a turnover in the contests.
