The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) selected Ben VanScoyk of Calvin as the Men’s Golfer of the Week on Monday for tournaments through Oct. 4.

VanScoyk, a sophomore from Grand Rapids, posted a pair of second-place finishes in MIAA Jamborees at home and at Adrian last week. At the Jamboree that the Knights hosted in Cascade last Monday, he carded an even par round of 72 to finish one stroke out of first place. 

On Saturday at the Adrian event, VanScoyk again finished second individually with a round of 75, one shot off of the overall lead. He enters the final week of fall competition as the MIAA individual leader with a 73.6 strokes-per-round average.
