Ellis Chalfant of Calvin claimed Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women’s lacrosse Player of the Week honors on Monday for games through May 1.

Chalfant, a freshman from St. Louis, Mo., took defensive honors after backstopping three wins for the Knights to conclude the season. She posted a save percentage of 61 percent in the trio of victories. Chalfant ended the week with a goals against average of just 4.67 and averaged 7.33 saves per contest. The goalie also scooped up four ground balls and helped the team achieve a clear percentage of 85 percent on the week.
