Kadie Koolwick of Albion earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women’s lacrosse Player of the Week honors on Monday for games through April 17.
Koolwick, a senior from Bloomfield, earned offensive honors by helping Albion to a pair of MIAA road victories last week. She scored five points in each of the Britons’ wins. In a 7-4 victory at Calvin, Koolwick scored two goals and dished out three assists. She also recorded nine draw controls, caused four turnovers and collected a pair of ground balls. During a 14-4 win at Saint Mary’s Koolwick netted four goals and added an assist. She registered four ground balls and added four draw controls against the Belles. It marks Koolwick’s second weekly honor this season after earning recognition on March 28.
