Haley Fischman of Hope earned Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Tuesday for meets through March 20.

Fischman, a sophomore from Grand Ledge, captured field athlete honors after a ninth-place finish in the discus at the Emory Invitational on Saturday. Her throw measured 114-3, just five inches shy of the eighth-place mark. Fischman’s effort came in a field of more than 50 throwers in the events.
