The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association named Erin Herrmann of Hope the Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday for meets through Oct. 4.

Herrmann, a junior from Wheaton, Ill., clocked the top time among NCAA Division III women's cross country runners in a Greater Louisville Classic Gold Division field full of national powerhouses on Saturday. 

She finished her 6K run in 115th place out of 260 runners with a time of 18 minutes, 14.83 seconds. The time marked the top finish by a Division III competitor in the race.
