Sabrina Dass of Kalamazoo claimed Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women’s tennis Player of the Week honors on Tuesday for matches through April 24. 

Dass, a junior from Grand Blanc, rolled to a perfect 4-0 record in conference matches last week to extend her match win streaks to seven consecutive contests in each discipline. She dominated her singles matches with three bagel sets, while surrendering just two games total. In doubles, Dass’ team gave up just one game over two matches to produce a pair of commanding victories.

In singles action, Dass posted a 6-0, 6-2 win against Trine at the No. 2 position. She followed that with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Adrian on court two. 

In doubles play, Dass teamed up with Sarah Woods at the No. 1 spot. The duo surrendered just one game total in two victories. The Hornets’ pairing defeated Trine 8-1 and then cruised to an 8-0 win against Adrian on court one.
