Bethany Love of Calvin claimed the Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Tuesday for meets through Feb. 14.

Love, a sophomore from Grand Rapids, won field athlete honors with victories in both the shot put and weight throw at the Aquinas College Little Meet on Friday. She won the shot put with a career-best heave of 41-10 which places her in the top 25 on the NCAA III indoor performance list. Love also posted a career-best mark with a winning weight throw toss that measured 50-0.
