Ryan Orr of Kalamazoo earned the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Baseball Player of the Week awards on Monday for games through April 24.
Orr, a sophomore from DeWitt, collected pitcher of the week honors for a second straight week after tossing a complete-game no-hitter in his only outing of the week. He secured the Hornets’ 2-0 victory on the road at Olivet Saturday by registering nine strikeouts while not allowing a walk, hit nor a run. Orr faced the minimum of batters and only racked up 67 pitches in his seven innings of work.
