Ryan Dorow of Adrian earned the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Baseball Player of the Week awards on Monday for games through April 17.
Dorow, a junior from South Haven, won position player laurels after connecting on a hit in each of Adrian’s games last week to help the Bulldogs record four-game sweeps over Calvin and Alma while extending his hit streak to 16 contests. He also scored a run in each conference matchup and batted in a score in eight of nine games. Dorow hit .514 in conference action on 18-of-35 hitting. That included three home runs to boost his slugging percentage to .771 for the week. Dorow also drew four walks to record a .585 on-base percentage. He also stole four bases. Dorow posted 35 assists and 16 putouts and made just one error on 52 total chances on defense last week.
