Jenna Dyksen of Calvin captured Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Tuesday for meets through April 10.

Dyksen, a sophomore from Hawthorne, N.J., earned field athlete honors after claiming the triple jump title at the Millikin Big Blue Invitational on Saturday. She was seeded in the middle of the pack of 13 triple jump competitors but beat out fellow teammates by more than eight inches for the win. Dyksen’s leap of 35-09.25 led a 1-2-3 finish by the Knights in the event. On the track, she finished second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.65.
