Jessica Shaw of Albion garnered Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Tuesday for meets through April 3.

Shaw, a junior from Allegan, claimed track athlete honors after recording a school-record performance in the 10,000 meters at Washington University Invitational last weekend. She placed fourth overall, crossing the finish in 35:45.91 as the top Division III competitor to register the second-fastest time in DIII at this point of the season. Shaw improved her school record by more than a minute.
