Kate Kelly of Saint Mary’s garnered Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women’s lacrosse Player of the Week honors on Monday for games through March 20.

Kelly, a freshman from Orland Park, Ill., took defensive honors after leading Saint Mary’s in ground balls and draw controls in a pair of road contests last week. She totaled 13 ground balls, won 11 draw controls and caused five turnovers to help hold opponents to 12 goals total. Kelly was also active on the offensive end scoring seven points on six goals and an assist.
