Kaitlyn Arnold of Alma earned Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Tuesday for meets through March 27.

Arnold, a junior from Jackson, earned track athlete honors following a record-setting performance at the Dick Small Invitational hosted by Defiance last weekend. She set a meet, stadium and program record in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 17:24.25. Arnold’s time ranks third nationally in Division III for the event entering this week. She also ran the third leg of the Scots’ 4x400 relay team that finished second overall.
