Alma outside hitter Hannah Guilford garnered the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Volleyball Player of the Week Award on Monday for matches through Oct. 4.
Guilford, a senior from Hartland, earned Player of the Week honors. She opened the week with a double-double effort with 20 kills and 16 digs to lead the Scots to a 3-2 conference win on the road at Adrian. Her 20 terminations marked a season high. Guilford added another strong performance later in the week in a 3-0 non-conference victory at Otterbein with nine kills and an equal number of digs. The Scots’ leader in kills this season finished the week with 29 kills, 25 digs, four assists and a pair of service aces.
