Andrew Strzelecki of Albion earned the Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Tuesday for meets through Feb. 21.

Strzelecki, a sophomore from Wixom, claimed field athlete honors following after a pair of top-eight finishes at the Hillsdale Tune-Up on Saturday. He recorded a personal best throw of 44-0 in the shot put to place seventh overall. Strzelecki tossed the weight throw 44-0.5 to place eighth in the event.

The inaugural MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships are set for Saturday, Feb. 27 at Trine.
