Colton Wolfe of Calvin earned the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Baseball Player of the Week honors on Monday for games through March 20.
Wolfe, a junior from Eaton Rapids, took position player honors after producing at least one hit and one RBI in each of Calvin’s six games to help the Knights to a 4-2 record last week. Wolfe posted a .429 average with nine hits. Six of those hits went for extra bases including three home runs. He drilled a home run, triple and double to produce five RBI in an 8-2 victory over Utica, to close to within a single away from the cycle on March 14. The infielder ended the week with 13 RBI, seven runs scored and a slugging percentage of 1.048. Wolfe also participated in four double plays on defense to go with five assists and no errors.
