Michael Fischbach of Albion collected Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Baseball Player of the Week honors on Monday for games through March 13.

Fischbach, a senior from Valencia, Calif., won position player accolades after posting a .579 batting average on 11-of-19 hitting to help the Britons to a 4-1 record on its spring break trip last week. He ripped a home run, triple and double in an 8-5 victory over Central (Iowa), to close to within a single away from the cycle on March 7. Fischbach recorded a hit, run scored and an RBI in each of the five contests. The center fielder ended the week with nine RBI, six walks and a slugging percentage of 1.000.
