Connor Vogt of Kalamazoo garnered the Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week Award from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Monday for meets through Oct. 25. 

Vogt, a sophomore from Greer, S.C., placed 65th overall in the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic. He finished the 5K course at the Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter with a time of 17:06.

The finish marked a personal best time in a 5K race for Vogt., he also posted a personal record 8K time in his last competition.
