Zac Nowicki of Calvin earned Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) for the second time in 2015 on Monday for meets through Sept. 27.

Nowicki, a junior from Comstock Park, finished the line the 8K MIAA Cross Country Jamboree course at the West Ottawa Golf Club first on Saturday to win the individual title in a time of 25:22.

He led the No. 15 Calvin squad to the team title with 22 points. A trio of Knights finished 1-2-3 at the top of the time sheet and Calvin placed all five scoring runners in the top 10 of the event.

The weekly honor is the second for Nowicki this season after also earning the award on Sept. 14.
