The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) named Ben Holstege of Calvin as the Men’s Swimmer/Diver of the Week on Monday for meets through Nov. 22.
Holstege, a freshman from Keswick, Va., turned in a season-best time of 52.67 to place second in the 100 backstroke during a meet against Wayne State on Friday. He also led off his 200 Medley relay squad with a 24.6 split to turn in a third-place finish of 1:40.14.
