Parker Belmore of Albion garnered the Men’s Swimmer of the Week Award from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Monday for meets through Feb. 7.

Belmore, a sophomore from Livonia, broke Albion’s pool record in the 200 freestyle as the Britons scored a 100-53 victory over Olivet in its final dual meet of the season. He recorded a season best time of 1:43.94 to claim the event. 

He also led off Albion’s winning 400-yard medley relay team with an opening split of 53.01.
