WASHINGTON, D.C. - A former Trine men's basketball All-American recently took part in a musical performance at the White House for the annual Easter Egg Roll.

Ian Jackson, a 2013 graduate of Trine University who earned multiple All-America honors on the court performed with his brother, Trevor Jackson, as part of the annual White House event. Ian is featured in the two songs they performed from the album titled My Feelings. Trevor is a recording artist signed to Atlantic Records.

In addition to performing the songs "One She Callin'" and "Turn Down," the Jacksons were invited to the Oval Office to meet President Obama and the First Lady. The crowd invited to the Oval Office also included former NBA All-Star Shaquille O'Neal, rapper Jay-Z and musical artist Beyonce Knowles.

"I was surprised by how welcoming and friendly President Obama and the First Lady were when we met them in the Oval Office," Ian said. "Their smiles made us feel like we were family and had known us their whole lives. It was impressive.

"I don't get starstruck that often because of the people I have met and worked with in the music industry with Trevor, but meeting the Obamas was an unbelievable experience," Ian said.
