KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo Athletic Leadership Council hosted a Special Olympics track meet and bocce ball tournament earlier this month.

More than 85 Special Olympians competed in 22 events ranging from a 5000-meter run to the shot put and bocce ball.

Over 80 volunteers from various Kalamazoo athletic programs contributed to the spirited event and made the day possible.

The Athletic Leadership Council organizes multiple Special Olympics events throughout the academic year along with other events for the college and greater Kalamazoo community.
