WINNECONNE, Wis. - The Calvin men's cross country team placed 23rd overall with a team score of 532 points at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships hosted by Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday at the Lake Breeze Golf Course.
Sophomore Andrew Philipose led Calvin by finishing 76th with a time of 25:23 in the 8K race. Junior Zac Nowicki crossed the finish next for the Knights, placing 100th clocking in at 25:32.
Knight senior Jeff Meitler finished 146th in 25:45. Classmate Nathan VanHaitsma placed 196th in 26:02 just ahead of Calvin’s final scorer, junior Jordan Kramer, who crossed the line in 198th with a time of 26:03.
Wisconsin-Eau Claire took the men's team national championship with 135 points. Ian LaMere of UW-Platteville took home the individual national title with a time of 23:35.
