Kalamazoo's Football Team Lends a Hand in South Haven

On Sept. 5, the Kalamazoo College football team turned in community service hours with the city of Grand Haven, helping prepare land for a new pump track - a bike curcuit designed for users to create momentum through body movements.

The 72 volunteers took part in restoration of the property. Several tasks were performed including removing the big stones; laying 80 cubic yards of black dirt; spreading seed; and laying straw blankets to cover the seed. The volunteers contributed three hours each for a total of 216 total volunteer hours.
