65 Attend Albion SAAC Football Clinic

In the year's final installment of the Albion Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's free sports clinics for kids, 65 aspiring football youths joined Briton coaches and student-athletes to learn about the game.  Braving blustery winds and cold temperatures, the hooded sweatshirt was as essential as a helmet or football on the day.

Albion's student-athletes and coaches broke the game into component parts, and made drills for each essential skill and position. There was a quarterbacking station, wide receiver station, offensive and defensive lines, linebacker station, corner and safety station, and a kick and punt station.

Joseph Mayone, an Albion junior from Beverly Hills, Mich., felt the kids and student-athletes both benefit from the opportunity.

"Putting on the football clinic is always fun. The kids love it and it's great for our team to share the sport that we love with others."
